: Lawrence Summers: A Slap in the Face to Feminism?

Ah, how quickly they forget.  ;)

I highly doubt that N.O.W. will go over to the Republican Party, but it's amazing what insults they put up with.  NOW really has become irrelevant to the Democrat Party (except during election seasons).

First, the rejection of Hillary as their candidate (has she accepted the offer of Secretary of State, yet?), and now this:

In-coming President Obama has chosen Lawrence Summers to be his Director of Economic Affairs, in the new Administration.  This is the same Larry Summers that got in an outhouse full of trouble and was forced to resign from his position at Harvard for suggesting that there might be differences in men and women that cause a higher percentage of men to go into sciences and other time-intensive careers.

So, here are the options for the poll:
A.  Mr. Summers must think that women should be barefoot and pregnant, so why not give him a job?
B.  Mr. Summers must think that women should be barefoot and pregnant, so he's not qualified.
C.  Mr. Summers is good at what he does, but that doesn't mean we should tolerate sexism... no job!
D.  Mr. Summers is good at what he does and his views on the sexes are irrelevant to his job, so hire him.
E.  Mr. Summers was probably right in his discussion of differences between men and women, get over it.
F.  Mr. Summers was probably wrong in his discussion of difference between men and women, it must not stand.
